I knew we couldn't get so worried about the state of California and U.S. politics that we'd hold off on travel planning in 2026. Even though, I said that to myself a month ago.
We're now exploring Tunisia and Algeria in April, and Brazil (the Pantanal and elsewhere) in October. In the meantime, here's a map of where we'll be starting next Monday.

After a long and important day here in California on September 3rd, I'm getting up early in the morning (3:15m) on the 4th and taking a Sonoma County Airporter to the San Francisco Airport at 4;00pm arriving at 6am to catch a 8am American flight 2614,2041 via Chicago arriving at 4:14pm at LaGuardia Airport in New York. I'll have dinner at the airport. I have a reservation for four nights at the Pod Brooklyn at 247 Metropolitan Ave which I can check in up to 9pm (1 718-963-3060). The next morning, I'm having breakfast with one of my cousins (Austin Chick) before heading off to the Billie Jean King Tennis Center for a day of viewing tennis.
Hopefully (not confirmed), I'll be able to have breakfast on Sep 6th or 7th with one of my other cousins (Jonathan Chick), before attending the day's tennis at the Center. On Sunday, Sep 7th, I'll watch the finals of the Tournament, get to bed and go to the Airport early on Monday, Sept 8th for a 9am American Airlines Flight 1023, 3315 via Charlotte back to San Francisco (arriving at 3:30pm). Home by 7pm.
