We left our homestay this morning, and drove to Ninh Binh. There's not much to say about the day, except that our drive was made much more valuable with the variety of commentaries provided by Duc, out local tour guide. Much of the richness of tours like these is the insight and flavor provided by someone whose life and experiences add the detail to what we see and learn. Hearing his comments, and the answers to our questions, is helping us get a more complete vision of the history and social development of Vietnam.
