Sunday, March 12th, Paro, Bhutan

Greetings!

Today, we traveled in our mid-size bus from Punakha to Paro.  We left at 8:30am and arrived at 5pm.  On the way we saw Yaks, snow-covered peaks separating Bhutan from Tibet (they don't allow you to climb them), familiar and unusual fauna, a national museum in a reconstructed stupa, another 17th century Dzong, and miles and miles of twisting climbing and dropping roads.

Though shrouded most of the time in clouds, the Himalayan peaks which separate Bhutan and Tibet are pretty spectacular.  Though unclimbable, there is a trail along the base of them.  All throughout the day, they appeared as we rounded a curve, and the feeling of majesty was dramatic.

Of course, there were little things which caught our eyes and cameras.  Mike won the award for most dedicated photographer, and I usually tried to follow him around capturing similar angles.

And there is Airdropping going on to share the best photos being taken.
