We're back in Sonoma County, and acknowledging how lucky we are to be able to travel. We keep meeting wonderful new friends on our trips who share our values and excitement. Of course, everyone in our group shared the plans they have for the next place they wanted to visit. Our current plans are to revisit Egypt to see the new Museum that's been in rthe planning and developing stage for the past twenty years. On the way, we have scheduled going to Jordan to see Petra.
The trip is scheduled for mid-October to mid-November, and we do have some concerns about flights in an out of a region embroiled in war. We have until mid-June to either cancel or re-schedule to a later date. We're asking those both wirh the tour compny, and in tours on the ground. We have a month to decide.
Our next location might be China. Pat's researching two tour proposals for next spring, and we'll be talking before the end of the year about committing to the idea.
In the shorter term, I'm again going to New York for the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament. On the way, I'll be stopping by Reading, Pennsylvania to visit my sister. Jodie and I have promised each other a visit for years, and we're not getting any younger or healthier. Once in New York, my Aunt and my cousins all may be reachable when I'm not watching tennis. Last year, I had a great time spending breakfasts with Austin and Jonathan. This year, I'm hoping to include their mother (my aunt Kitty) and perhaps some second cousins.
